Experts Say Reusable Blankets are Fundamental

North Tonawanda, N.Y. – December 7, 2017 – On December 13 at 2 p.m. ET, HPAC Engineering magazine will host a free webinar featuring Randy Haines, Energy Manager at Thomas Jefferson University in Philadelphia, and Karen Seward, Director of Facilities Engineering for Albany Medical Center, to explain how their organizations analyzed where they were losing energy, and why they picked reusable thermal blankets as a customized solution that continues to save them hundreds of thousands of dollars annually.
Experts, including the U.S. Department of Energy, say a key to long-term energy savings is developing a strategy employing reusable insulation on components requiring periodic inspection and repair. Done right, it’s a way to save billions of BTUs and fuel costs while increasing safety and profitability. “Our energy survey showed we could insulate our entire system with reusable blankets and achieve a payback in 18 months; that ultimately became 23 months due to the dropping cost of fuel, but still a very good payback,” said Seward. “People budget for fuel costs. But they don’t always think about the initial outlay for reusable blankets as something that will pay for itself and make money into the future.” Webinar attendees will learn:

The energy savings makes the cost of ownership little to none.” About HPAC Engineering About Shannon Enterprises of W.N.Y. Inc. |
